Section 1 of 6: Our Approach

Our Approach

This campaign begins with listening.By engaging directly with parents, students, educators, and community members, we are building a clear understanding of what our schools and communities need and turning those voices into focused representation, meaningful advocacy, and action.

Step 1

Listen

Parents, students, educators, and community members each have a unique view of what our schools need. We start by creating space for every voice.

Step 2

Engage

Through town halls, school visits, door-to-door conversations, and digital outreach, we meet people where they are — not once, but consistently.

Step 3

Understand

Listening becomes insight. We map the priorities of Wards 5 & 7 against the realities of the York Region District School Board to identify what matters most.

Step 4

Advocate

Those voices are carried to the YRDSB board table as focused representation: clear asks, informed questions, and persistent follow-through.

Step 5

Act

Advocacy turns into action. From budget decisions to program priorities, we work for measurable outcomes that strengthen public education for all students.
